Collaboratively Designing First Year Information Literacy Program in Fresno State Raymond Pun, First Year Student Success Librarian California State University, Fresno Interested in learning how to create a first year information literacy program? This presentation will cover how collaboratively build an information literacy program for first year students. This presentation explores how librarians in California State University, Fresno (Fresno State) collaboratively designed learning objectives for first year information literacy in Fall 2015. The presenter will explain the project in three phases: forming a first year information literacy advisory group comprising of faculty and librarians, collaboratively designing learning objectives that utilize some of ACRL's new frameworks and feedbacks from the group, and discovering creative ways to build tutorials and modules on meeting these learning goals. The presenter will also share opportunities and challenges along the way in designing the first year information literacy program. Raymond Pun is the first year student success librarian in California State University, Fresno. He is charged to create and coordinate the first year library experience and first year information literacy across campus. Previously he has worked in NYU Shanghai and NYPL as a reference librarian. ...................................... .............................................................
