Throughout a student’s English language learning jounery, it is important that they see and use English not as a school subject full or grammar rules, exercises and word lists, but as a skill for life. With English as the global lingua franca, they will need it to study or work in English, and to interact and correspond with others from many varying backgrounds. This session is for teachers of secondary and young adult learners, showing the benefits of bringing more cross-curricular and cross-cultural content into the ELT classroom.
