‘We weren’t our best selves’: Documentary explores U.S.’ lack of aid to Holocaust refugees
The PBS documentary ‘’The U.S. and the Holocaust” shows another side of the Holocaust and the lack of help given to refuges by the U.S. Filmmaker and co-director of the documentary, Ken Burns joined Jim Braude to discuss how the U.S did, or didn’t, response to the calls for aid and how the current political climate in the U.S. parallels 1940’s Europe.

The unsuspecting harbinger of climate change: Puffins
Massive wildfires, rising sea temperatures and increased storms are well-known signs of climate change. But, as fellow with the Union of Concerned Scientists, Derrick Jackson, points out in his recent Boston Globe piece, Atlantic Puffins and their wellbeing are also a bellwether for the state of climate justice in the U.S. Jackson joined Jim to discuss how urban areas called “sacrifice zones” are tied to these Puffins off the coast of Maine and why we need to focus on all who are impacted by climate change.
