The civil rights struggle of the 1960s affected many small towns across the nation. The city of Laurel was no exception. The KKK often spewed hate-filled rhetoric which sometimes escalated to violence. But one researcher has discovered that local incidents could all be traced back to one man who was a master at garnering publicity for himself. Patricia Villone reports.
