In the age of big data, people unintentionally leave digital tracks about themselves. In this talk, Xia Xu shows us how to take control of our personal data by proactively sharing the right information, at the right place, with the right people. She explains best practices on how to customize the information we share to deliver a better user experience.

Born and raised in China, Xia Xu is a Bentley graduate student in business analytics. Based on her academic studies and research in this field, Xia is proposing a new perspective on "big data" that puts consumers in the driver's seat. She believes that consumers can empower themselves by taking advantage of the analytics mechanisms behind-the-scenes to achieve a truer customized content experience.
