Israeli War Cabinet discusses the response to Iran attack | DW News

video thumbnail
Israel is considering how to respond to Iran's unprecedented attack - Tehran's first on Israeli territory. World leaders - including Israel's greatest ally, the United States - are calling for restraint. Iran has already said it will respond fully to any Israeli counterattack.
The EU is considering possible new sanctions against Iran following the attack on Israel. New punitive measures could be imposed under a sanctions regime that was put in place after Iran began supporting Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine. Under this regime, the export of components for the design and production of unmanned aerial vehicles to Iran has been banned. Individuals and organizations are also subject to punitive measures.
