From calligraphy to building blocks, it was a full house at the DupPage Children’s Museum, as three organizations tripled visitors fun for a day.
“Today we have a program that is in collaboration with Naper Settlement and Naperville Public Library called Naperville Plays!” said Alix Tonsgard Early Learning Specialist, DuPage Children’s Museum. “I feel as though the mission of all 3 organizations really compliment each other, we all really value the adult child interaction and learning through hands on activities so it was really just a nice fit.” With all areas open at DuPage Children’s Museum, Naper Settlement was in one room teaching kids how to write in cursive while the Naperville Public Library held other reading and craft work activities. “I just overheard from my friends and colleagues that the 3 organizations came together and its really good and it helps in the community events and helps the kids for fun places like this,” said Attendee, Yashodha Sunkara. And the kids agreed that the hands on art and science exhibits were definitely triple the fun. “It’s like fun when we get to play the art room and there’s a whole bunch of different toys and things and i really like this place,” said Attendee, Maddy Rosley. “It’s realLy fun here it’s an awesome place, I like coming here,” said Attendee, Madison Ronda. The next Naperville Plays! events will be held at the 95th street Library on April 2nd. Naperville News 17’s Jodelle Maglaya Reports. |
