We all like to snack but if you choose the wrong snacks this can undo the benefits of eating healthy meals plus make it harder to control your weight.

Old habits are hard to break and you may need to develop your taste buds a little to enjoy different foods. Protein and vegetables are your liver’s best friend! Fresh vegetables and fresh herbs.


HEALTHY SNACKS FOR YOUR LIVER
🟦 Raw fruit (if overweight limit amount of fruit to 2 pieces daily until excess weight is lost).
🟦 Raw Vegetable sticks with hummus, tahini, nut spread or guacamole.
🟦 1 or 2 boiled or poached eggs Small can of fish – such as salmon, sardines or tuna.
🟦 Avocado with fresh lemon or lime or apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar is excellent for the liver and can reduce blood sugar levels. Handful of nuts and seeds (avoid pretzels, crackers, and chips which are made with processed vegetable fats).
🟦 Vegetable broths or soups – can be raw or cooked.
🟦 Raw coconut flesh – high in good fats and low in carbs. 
🟦 It is OK to add salt, pepper, and natural spices to all these snacks, as these are fine for your liver.

Your taste buds get used to salt and salt can replace sugar as well as reduce cravings. 

Try not to snack too much as excess calories can lead to fatty liver; indeed, intermittent fasting has proven benefits.
