NASW-WA Executive Director Jeremy Arp introduced the event by acknowledging native land and referencing the Social Work Month Proclamation. Brian Giddens hosted as Emcee once again. Garrett Hebel, Chapter President provided introductory remarks. Congratulations to the 2022 Award Winners! This year, we celebrated: Social Worker of the Year: Meghan DeGallier, MSW, MHP, LICSWA, SUDPT Lifetime Achievement Award: Nancy Amidei, MSW Social Work Educator of the Year: Deisy Haid, MSW, LCSW (Walla Walla University) Taylene Watson President's Award: The Center for Justice Social Work Public Citizen: Rep. Jesse Johnson Outstanding Recent Graduate: Ruby Townsend, MSW, LSWAIC Outstanding Student: Yunuenn Garcia (Heritage University) Presenters for the awards included Miguel Juarez (Chapter VP of EDI), Christine Ingersoll (LAC and PACE member), Nichelle Curtis-McQueen (Chapter LAC Chair), Garrett Hebel (Chapter President), Patricia Barnes Cannon (Chapter VP of Budget & Finance), and Arden Hellmann (LAC member). Award winners represented social workers and community members from Seattle, Federal Way, Kelso, Arlington, Sunnyside, and Walla Walla!
