Afghanistan is facing vast devastation in the wake of its deadliest earthquake in two decades. Homes have been crushed and hospitals do not have enough ambulances. Rescuers are racing against time to reach survivors. Meanwhile, South Korea and Japan have pledged aid for those affected. Seoul plans to provide a million dollars in humanitarian assistance to victims. Tokyo said it is cooperating with international organisations to assess the needs of those affected by the disaster and will provide necessary aid.
