Mahmoud is a poet and a storyteller. He holds a Masters degree in Arabic and works as an Arabic language teacher.

He holds the medal and a distinction for academic intelligence for the year 2011.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. He participated in many competitions and has won many local and international awards for the poems he has written. including winning the first prize in the competition of the French association of translated poetry for his poem:"نص متشعب البحور "

Mahmoud has several published poems in local and Arab newspapers and magazines. He has a collection of short stories entitled: "القادمون من الجنوب" as well as a novel titled: "خرائط على الماء".
