Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation properly inherits and preserves cultural heritages that are slowly disappearing and launches various projects to bring our traditional cultures to the public in a more friendly way. The Korea House is a multicultural facility operated by the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation, harmonized by delicious traditional foods and the visual aesthetics of our traditional culture. Korea House is well-known for serving platters of royal cuisine comprising earnestness, taste, presentation, and nutrients. Marking the new year, let’s find out more about our ancestral ritual culture through the royal meal prepared at the Korea House.

Korea in Fashion : Hanbok Designer Kim Young-jin
코리아 인 패션, 한복 디자이너 김영진

‘Korea in Fashion’ is an ambitious project that promotes ‘Korea’s beauty’ to the world by making Hanbok videos and pictorials shot under the theme of connecting the past and present in a palace in the middle of Seoul metropolis. We sit with hanbok designer Kim Young-jin, a contributor to the project, who tells us more about the project’s concept and the most important value she believes when designing her clothes.

과거와 현재를 잇는 도심 속 궁궐을 배경으로 한복 패션 동영상과 화보를 제작해 전 세계에 ‘한국의 미’를 알리는 ‘코리아 인 패션’ 프로젝트. 한국문화재재단이 기획한 이 프로젝트에 참여한 한복 디자이너 김영진을 만난다. 김영진 디자이너가 중요하게 생각한 프로젝트의 콘셉트와 가장 중요하게 생각했던 부분을 들어본다.

K-ASMR : Sounds of Korea’s Cultural Heritage
K-ASMR: 소리로 듣는 한국의 문화유산

Performing arts, visual arts, social practices and rituals, knowledge, food and to traditional craftsmanship... Korea’s cultural heritage boasts a wide variety and long history. However, it is often perceived as something we need to study and preserve, which makes it harder to approach and incorporate into everyday life. However, to preserve cultural heritage, it should be shared with others in every possible way. In an effort to break that barrier, the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation’s K-Heritage TV launched its own content – K-ASMR. Using the modern-day technique of ASMR, Korean cultural heritage is spread to people of all ages, genders and nationalities. In commemoration of Seollal, let’s enjoy and celebrate Korea’s cultural legacy through sound.

음악, 춤, 공예, 음식 등 다양한 종류와 역사를 자랑하는 한국의 문화유산. 하지만 지키고 보존하는 것으로 인식되어 다소 접근하기 어려운 점이 있던 것도 사실이다. 우리 문화유산과 사람들의 벽을 허물기 위해 한국문화재재단의 문화유산채널에서는 우리나라의 문화유산을 소리로 전달한다. 바로 K-ASMR. 다양한 세대와 국적을 아우르는 매개체로 문화유산을 향유할 수 있는 기회를 선사하는 이 컨텐츠는 우리 문화를 즐길 수 있는 현대적인 방법 또한 제시하고 있다. 활용이 곧 보존. 설날을 맞이하여 우리 문화유산을 소리로 즐겨본다.
