“Take it from one old guy to another,” wrote Joe Biden, 81, on social media. “Age is just a number.”

In the brutal fight for the presidency, Trump has sought to portray his rival as feeble and doddering — barely capable of getting a sentence out — while presenting himself as strong and vigorous by comparison.
