![]() |
Join URI Graduate School of Oceanography professor Robert Ballard as he presents his most recent work in deepwater exploration using telepresence technology, which allows anyone with a computer to go along on the expedition. Professor Ballard is best known for his 1985 discovery of the Titanic and 1977 discovery of hydrothermal vents. An explorer at large with National Geographic, Ballard uses his research ship, E/V Nautilus, and robotic vehicles to explore places on earth that no one has been before.
