Russia and North Korea have signed a mutual defense agreement. Putin visited North Korea yesterday for a little bit of Kim Jong Fun. While there, he signed an agreement stating both nations would come to the other’s defense if they came under attack, in addition to a deal that encompasses “political, trade, investment, and cultural sphere”. Putin said that joint drills involving the United States, South Korea and Japan were “hostile” toward North Korea and called the US “confrontational”. But the trip had some awkward moments because both of these men are basically losers on the global stage but in their little bubble, they’re the shit. Here they are unable to decide who should go into the car first. And here they are preparing to overtake the West in a German-made car. But all of this is quite stunning because when Putin took power, he was adamant that Russia was a European country and a great power worthy of the respect of the world but here he is essentially completely isolated, having to go to the fringes of Asia to the hermit kingdom to beg Kim for munitions.
