IDF elite commandos fought Hamas in a school on the outskirts of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
Egoz troops raided a school where Hamas operatives were holed up. The unit killed three gunmen and found weapon stashes inside the school. The home of a Hamas commander was also raided as part of the operation. Another video shows the IDF carrying out a controlled demolition in Khan Younis. Flares burn overhead as the explosives are set off levelling a Hamas headquarters. Hamas fought back using mortars fired from hidden positions to try and stop the IDF advance. However, Israeli troops moved further into the southern Gaza Strip in order to wipe the terror group out.
