If you are too having this Error after upgrading to Windows 11 From Windows 10 -
‘This app can’t open’ Error

Then This Video is For you!

If you recently updated from Windows 10 then you can use the old version of the Snipping Tool which will be available in your Boot Driver. Windows stores your previous installation for the first 10 days from the date of your update. You can use this to your advantage to use the older version of the Snipping Tool on your PC.

Navigate to the following path to get you started:
C:/Windows.old/Windows/System32/

Find ‘SnippingTool.exe’ in the current folder and copy and paste it to another directory!



Fixes Tried before Making this Method the Victor:
1.Uninstalled Security Update
2. Enabled Clipboard history
3. Reset and repair the app
4. Reinstall Snipping Tool
5.Grant background apps permissions
