Updates on Mortal Kombat 2, which is now in production, are starting to surface. The live-action Mortal Kombat movie from Warner Bros. from 2021 is scheduled to have a sequel. With the introduction of other characters from the games in the sequel, the Mortal Kombat cinematic world is set to grow. Mortal Kombat 2 will feature the live-action debuts of Johnny Cage, Shao Kahn, and Sindel, who all have a strong history of beat-em-up games from the Mortal Kombat series. This bodes well for a richer plot in the game.
